Ganja
Ganja is the second largest city in the country after Baku. The area is famous for many mineral springs and unique medicinal oil – Naphthalan to treat naturally some dermatological, rheumatic and neurological diseases. The tourist from all over the world visits Ganja to admire Goygol which is a large lake with rich fish fauna surrounded by mountains. The color and the clarity of the water is striking - it is the purest of many mountain water basins in the Caucasus. The steep banks of Goygol are covered with dense oak and hornbeam forests.

Goygol Lake appeared in the aftermath of a natural disaster, an earthquake, due to which Kapaz Mount collapsed, blocking the water of Kurakchay River. Who would even imagine that such a beauty would appear as a result? Now turned into a National Park, Goygol lake is the favorite spot of tourists, picknickers, couples and whoever that want to enjoy the wonder of the nature.
